Oh, So Close...
This is just one word away from being the headline we've been waiting for:
GOP senators say Craig should resign
The Repubs are so outraged about Larry Craig playing footsie with an undercover cop between the stalls in an airport men's room, they have not an ounce of righteous indignation left for a president who lied about WMDs so he could have his war with Iraq. Over 3,700 American soldiers and tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of Iraqis are dead as a result.
Craig is claiming it's all a misunderstanding — the poor man just happens to have a very "wide stance" in the toilet. Not a pretty image, is it?
But at least Craig made the effort to come up with an excuse, lame though it may be. Bush, on the other hand, just laughed off the missing WMDs, making them the butt of a cheap comedy skit back in 2004.
That, Mitt, is what is truly disgusting here.

It's pretty disgusting that Bush wants another $50 billion for the war. Why isn't the GOP outraged about that? I thought they prided themselves on fiscal conservatism? We're spending $3 billion a week on the two wars. That's not my idea of conservative.
Getting back to Craig, I don't care what he did and who he did it with (his lies are another matter), but it bothers me that the Republicans are so hypocritical. Why didn't they call for Vitter to resign when it was revealed he cheated on his wife with prostitutes? I seem to remember something about that in the bible too.
They're obsessed with bashing gays because they're trying to win back their base. It's either gays or terrorism with that bunch.

That's what gets me, Kathy. The repubs are trying to force Craig out of the club because of sexual activity, but they don't seem to mind all the blood that Bush has on his hands. Sick bunch.
