Fox News Faux Pas
This explains a lot - the participants in the Lincoln/Douglas debates, according to Fox News:
With its well-deserved reputation for accuracy in reporting, I guess Fox can be excused for missing the minor details that the Douglass in the picture spelled his name with two Ss, not one, and is also...um...black.

LOL!! Do you think Fred Douglas was also pro-slavery ;-)

Did you see Andrew Sullivan today?

TomCat, I guess Fox figured that, since their audience isn't particularly detail-oriented, any old 19th century Douglas(s) would do. ;-)
NYC Educator, I did now. ;-) Yes, that's a pretty blunt statement by Frum. Who ever the Dem nominee is, that person is going to be brutalized by the Republicans. But I don't think it will matter. McCain is proving himself to be just a slightly more articulate Bush. He's not on top of the issues, he has a pathetic health care plan (if you can call it a plan). I can't see him winning in November.
But then, I never thought a dolt like Bush could possibly win in 2000...

Next that will say that, since both are black, they must be related, and Douglas was a Muslim who wouldn't wear a flag pin.

Wouldn't surprise me, TomCat.
