Iknow the feeling, Kvatch, living here on the other coast. The electoral college would make sense if we all traveled to our polling places in horses and buggies.
Changing the way we vote will have to be pushed after the election is over. Our system is antiquated and grossly unfair.
Did you hear what Rachel Maddow is saying about voting? She believes "voting lines are just another form of poll tax. They are a time tax. How much is four hours worth to the average voter? How many voters can take four hours off from their job, or their family, to stand at a precinct?"

So do I, Kathy. My guess is that the Obama administration (man, that sounds good) will make election reform a priority.
Just another 27 or so hours to go until the last polls close, and a generation of Democratic (if not Progressive) reform can begin.
