In case you entertained any doubts about whether President George Bush was a moron being manipulated by his aides, who knew exactly which of his buttons to push, this should remove them:
Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld prepared top-secret military intelligence briefs for former President George W. Bush with cover sheets featuring triumphant images from the Iraq war with "Crusades-like" Bible messages...
[For example,] A March 31, 2003 brief cover-sheet depicted a U.S. tank roaring through the desert with a biblical quote from Ephesians: "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand."
Yikes.

Makes me wonder if we elected these people not once but twice, what lies ahead for us? I guess we should never underestimate the voters gullibility.

Lev, that always bugged me too - that we elected them again in 2004, knowing what we did about them, about the non-existent WMDs, etc. I think calling voters gullible in 2004 is being kind.
