The creator of “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” Carl Reiner, said he wants to live to 2020 so he can vote President Donald Trump out of office. Reiner posted a video to Twitter saying that he served in World War II to “defeat fascism.”

“I’ve lived through the Great Depression. I served in World War II in our fight to defeat fascism. I’ve seen the invention of television and performed on television even before my family owned one,” said the 96-year-old actor.

Watch the video below to see what all he had to say:

Here’s what he said:

“I’m Carl Reiner. I’m 96 and a  half years old, and I’ve seen a lot of things in my lifetime.”

“I’ve lived through the Great Depression, I served in World War II in our fight to defeat fascism, I’ve seen the invention of television and performed on television, even before my family owned one.”

“But what I’ve never seen is the American people being lied to every single day about everything. Lies about climate change, lies about protecting Medicare and social security, lies about Russia attacking our elections, lies about protecting people with pre-existing conditions.”

“In my 96 and a half years, I have seen a lot of things. But the one thing I cannot bear to see is America being destroyed by racism, fear-mongering, and lies.”

“Fortunately, there is something we can do about that. On November 6, we can vote for elected officials who will hold this president accountable.”

“And after we’ve done that, my personal goal will be to stick around until 2020 and vote to make sure we have a decent, moral, law-abiding citizen in Washington who will make us all proud again to live in America. On November 6, vote!”

As of this moment, Reiner’s video has nearly 2 million views.

Reiner joins fellow elderly actor James Cromwell in a rant against President Trump.

Cromwell was honored at the fourth annual Carney Awards for his performances as a character actor in movies such as “The Green Mile” and “The Sum of All Fears.”

The veteran actor, however, has been a political activist for his entire career and had some choice words for the current political climate and President Trump.

“This is nascent fascism. We always had a turnkey, totalitarian state – all we needed was an excuse, and all the institutions were in place to turn this into pure fascism,” said Cromwell. “If we don’t stop [President Trump] now, then we will have a revolution for real. Then there will be blood in the streets.”

“We’re living in very curious times, and something is coming up which is desperately important to this country and to this planet, and that is an election, in which hopefully in some measure we are going to take back our democracy,” Cromwell continued.

“We will have a government that represents us and not the donor class. We will cut through the corruption, [and] we won’t have to do what comes next, which is either a non-violent revolution or a violent one, because this has got to end.”
