ABC stunned “Roseanne” fans on Tuesday and announced the cancellation of the popular sitcom, which included some pro-Trump plot lines, after Roseanne Barr attacked a former top Obama administration official on Twitter.

In a statement provided to TheWrap, ABC entertainment president Channing Dungey called Barr’s remarks about Valerie Jarrett “abhorrent.”

“Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” Dungey said.

Barr found herself in hot water after she joked in a tweet, “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj,” referring to Jarrett.

The comedian quickly apologized, but clearly it wasn’t enough to satisfy the bosses at ABC.

"I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste,” she tweeted.

She later added, “I apologize. I am now leaving Twitter."

"Roseanne" was the surprise hit of the season as the debut episode drew in millions of Americans across the country and garnered support from President Donald Trump himself.

In the end, the "Roseanne" revival didn't even make it past one season.
