Following Wednesday’s National Peace Officers Memorial Service at the Capitol, Attorney General Bill Barr walked right up to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and mocked her.

"Madam Speaker, did you bring your handcuffs?” Barr asked.

Pelosi then reportedly tried to muster a smile and joked that the House Sergeant at Arms was there if an arrest were needed.

Barr simply chuckled and walked away.

Barr was referring to House Democrats’ desperate crusade to hold him in contempt of Congress as they cling to hope that there is some damaging information redacted in the full Mueller report.

In reality, very few reductions were made, which is standard operating procedure. The Mueller report vindicated President Donald Trump of allegations he “colluded” with Russia during the 2016 election, leaving Democrats without their favorite conspiracy to run on in 2020.

Pelosi’s latest gambit has been to allege Barr is somehow protecting President Trump and concealing information from Congress. There is no evidence suggesting that this is true.

Of course, that won’t stop Pelosi and Democrats from claiming it anyway.

If Barr’s response on Wednesday is any indicator, he clearly isn’t afraid of anything Democrats might try to throw at him.
