Hollywood actress Alyssa Milano’s attempt to pander to minorities backfired in a major way when liberals blasted her for showing her “white privilege.”
Milano first tweeted a simple message to her “transgender sisters.”
“My transgender sisters! I am celebrating YOU this #NationalWomensDay!" she tweeted.
Due to the “sisters” language, a a user then asked her if she is “transgender.” It would be Milano’s response that put her in the left’s politically correct crosshairs.
“I’m trans. I’m a person of color. I’m an immigrant. I’m a lesbian. I’m a gay man. I’m the disabled,” she responded. “I’m everything. And so are you, Kirk.”
She added: “Don’t be afraid of what you don’t know or understand. No one wants to hurt you. We are all just looking for our happily ever after.”
Social justice warrior liberals didn’t seem to like that answer at all.
“What the ever living f**k is this able bodied straight rich white b**** talking about?” one user tweeted.
“This is not how to be an ally,” another user responded. “You are neither of these identities so have no idea on the struggles faced by these marginalised groups. If you want to support these groups say I stand with, not I am.
Yet another user replied: “I am so tired of straight, white, able bodied, cis women sloppily using intersectionality as a brand.”
That didn't go quite like Milano was hoping it would.
