Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) attacked U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officers again on Thursday, accusing the agency of violating “human rights.”
The Democrat’s comments come after an illegal immigrant MS-13 gang member allegedly murdered someone in her own district in New York.
"This is one of the most urgent moral issues and crises that we have in America right now. This is not a political issue. Children dying in detention centers should not be a partisan concern,” Ocasio-Cortez said. "It should be a universal concern for every American in the United States."
She continued: ”ICE operates with virtually no accountability, ripping apart families and holding our friends and neighbors indefinitely in inhumane detention centers scattered across the United States. We’re here to say that an agency like ICE, which repeatedly and systematically violates human rights, does not deserve a dime.”

The socialist lawmaker went on to argue against funding ICE, pushing a conspiracy about “black-box detention facilities.”
"I will not give one dollar to black-box detention facilities that think that some people in this country are deserving of constitutional protections and others are not," she said. “We are a land of laws, what that means is that every person that steps foot on this soil deserves ... to have access to our Bill of Rights.”
What Ocasio-Cortez didn’t mention was alleged MS-13 gang member Ramiro Gutierrez, 26, allegedly murdering someone in her district.
A horrific video reportedly shows a group of thugs wrestling before the man believed to be Gutierrez fires six shots right at the victim’s face. The shooter and the rest of the suspects fled the scene.
Gutierrez has been charged with murder.
