Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) rushed to the defense of her anti-Semitic colleague Rep. Omar Ilhan (D-Minn.) on Thursday after she was harshly criticized for calling the 9/11 a terrorist attack an incident where “some people did something.”

Texas Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw quoted Omar and expressed his disbelief that the remarks were made by a member of Congress.

“First Member of Congress to ever describe terrorists who killed thousands of Americans on 9/11 as ‘some people who did something.’ Unbelievable,” Crenshaw tweeted.

Here’s the video Crenshaw is referring to:

In response, Ocasio-Cortez blasted Crenshaw, a Navy SEAL war hero who lost an eye fighting terrorists in Afghanistan, and questioned his loyalty to the victims of 9/11.

“You refuse to cosponsor the 9/11 Victim’s Compensation Fund, yet have the audacity to drum resentment towards Ilhan w/completely out-of-context quotes,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

She added: “In 2018, right-wing extremists were behind almost ALL US domestic terrorist killings. Why don’t you go do something about that?”

That was a big mistake. Americans from across the country immediately came to Crenshaw’s defense and reminded AOC of the hard truth.

Another humiliating day for AOC. Remember, this is the future of the Democratic Party.
