The NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball National Champions Baylor Lady Bears ignored criticism from anti-Trump liberals and proudly visited the White House on Monday to celebrate their fantastic accomplishment.
Not only did the women’s basketball team join Trump in the Oval Office, the team also surprised the president with his very own custom basketball jersey.
President Trump joked that the jersey might look better on his wife, First Lady Melania Trump.
“Thank you to @realDonaldTrump and the @WhiteHouse staff for a great experience for the Lady Bears!” the Baylor Lady Bears later tweeted.
Trump was incredibly gracious to the team, telling them it was his "honor" to host them at the White House.
"That was a tough, rough game," the president said of the team's hard-fought victory.
Just like he did for the Clemson Tigers championship football team, Trump served fast food for the Baylor squad. They didn't seem to mind one bit. It's kind of becoming Trump's go-to move for catering.
Several other sports teams have "boycotted" the White House over his policies or just succumbing to public pressure from liberal groups and the media. It's nice to see a team be thankful for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet with the President in the Oval Office.
Congratulations, Baylor Lady Bears!
