New England Patriots champion Benjamin Watson isn’t just known for being a champion football player and a father of seven. He’s also a man of faith, a conservative, and strong voice for the pro-life movement.
And he just called out liberal actress and pro-abortion activist Alyssa Milano.
Milano was speaking with CNN’s Chris Cuomo recently when some truly outlandish things starting coming out of her mouth. Cuomo pointed out to the actress that a lot of women in America are pro-life, arguing to Milano that “it’s not all women are on the same page about this.”
She replied: “Well, I don’t think there’s a human on the planet that is not pro-life. Nobody wants to get an abortion.”
“We are all pro-life.”
Milano seemed to be neglecting fellow actress and activist Jameela Jamil, who tweeted just the other day, “I had an abortion when I was young, and it was the best decision I have ever made.”
She also didn’t mention the “Shout Your Abortion” group that claims “abortion is normal” and features stories from numerous women celebrating the ending of their baby’s life in their wombs.
The site even displays an abortion cake with icing that reads, “Abortion is OK! Love yourself!” And they sell apparel with messages like “Abortion is freedom” and “God ❤s Abortion.”
“There are circumstances that we cannot avoid,” Milano continued. “There’s the mother’s health. There’s just not being ready and what that means financially and for someone’s destiny. This is an economic issue.”
But, wait, there’s more.
“I have to also say that this will affect the communities of color more than anything,” she told Cuomo. “I feel that any woman of privilege that lives in one of these states, if this [anti-abortion bill] goes through, they’re going to be able to travel to a state to get a safe...uh...reproductive health care.”
“But, for the women of color, for the women that are marginalized, for the women that are low income communities, for the women that are most at risk, these bills are going to be catastrophic,” she argued.
Watson blasted her on Twitter, writing, “@Alyssa_Milano to claim that giving MORE children of color the right to be born will negatively affect ‘women of color’ reveals IGNORANCE, RACISM or some combination of both. Our children and families are capable of greatness and lies like this harm our future. Dont patronize us.”
After being called a racist by a black man, Milano quickly apologized, writing, “Hi. I see you and never meant harm. My hope is to stand in solidarity with all women as we fight for reproductive justice and true equality. I’ve followed you. If you’d like to discuss further, please DM [direct message] me. My door & heart are always open.”
“Thank you for your response and openness to dialogue,” Watson replied. “Looking forward to speaking with you.”
Watson recently called out Christian hip-hop artist LeCrae for supporting abortion.
Watson’s wife Kirsten also made a powerful video with pro-life group Live Action where she completely dismantled some of the most popular pro-abortion arguments out there.
