CNN analyst Areva Martin accused SiriusXM radio host and Fox News commentator David Webb of exercising his “white privilege” during a radio interview on Tuesday.
Webb responded by calmly reminding Martin that he is actually a black man.
“That’s a whole ‘nother long conversation about white privilege, the things that you have the privilege of doing, that people of color don’t have the privilege of,” Martin said.
'Perplexed, Webb inquired, “How do I have the privilege of white privilege?”
“David… by virtue of being a white male you have white privilege,” the guest shot back.
That’s when Webb told his uninformed guest that he should have came better prepared for the debate, rather than relying on tired identify politics to avoid talking about the facts.
“Areva, I hate to break it to you, but you should’ve been better prepped. I’m black.”
After an awkward pause, Martin admitted that she was wrong.
"They gave me the wrong information," she said, referring to her team.
"That's actually insulting," Webb shot back.
"It is, and I apologize because my people gave me wrong information," she said.

Political Twitter was left speechless by the liberal's ignorance on her interviewer's own race. Martin also exposed how shallow the strategy behind identity politics really is.
Is anyone surprised that Martin works for CNN?
