Special counsel Robert Meuller’s investigation of alleged collusion between President Trump and Russia is now complete. After nearly two years, he finally submitted his report on Friday around 5 p.m. Eastern.
According to Politico, Meuller’s findings were handed to the Justice Department so Attorney General William Barr can look it over and write up a summary for Congress.
There’s no word yet on when a public release of the report could occur.
On Wednesday, Trump called for the public release of the report, calling it “ridiculous,” the Associated Press reported.
“Let it come out, let people see it,” Trump said. “Let’s see whether or not it’s legit.”
The president said he’s personally looking forward to seeing it. Conservative commentators reacted to the news of the investigation’s completion on Friday.
