Sen. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) publicly called on her supporters to attack members of the Trump administration during a hate-filled speech outside the Wilshire Federal Building on Saturday.
The crowd cheered as Waters pointed out that members of the Trump administration have already been harassed and forced to leave restaurants.
“No peace, no sleep,” she said. “No peace, no sleep.”
Waters then declared, “God is on our side.”
However, it was her next remark that had people accusing the Democrat of inciting violence.
"If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd, and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” Waters said.
Meghan McCain, a co-host on “The View,” called the Democrat’s comments “absolutely insane.”
This is absolutely insane - and extremely dangerous. My father in law works in the administration, does this mean when we go out to dinner we should be ambushed?!? Don’t ever again give me any of the “when they go low, we go high” lip service.
Purple Strats Managing Director Rory Cooper noted it's barely been a year since a deranged left-wing gunman opened fire on Republican congressman practicing baseball, suggesting that Waters's incitement could result in violence.
We’re a year past a lunatic opening fire on a group of Congressman practicing baseball. Maybe cool it on urging more private confrontations.
House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) was shot and critically injured in the shooting. Also wounded in the shooting were a U.S. Capitol Police officer and a congressional aide.
