“Empire” star Taraji P. Henson revealed Thursday on “The View” that she still speaks her disgraced co-star Jussie Smollett all the time. Further, she says there are no plans to kick him off the show, despite allegations that he faked an alleged hate crime against himself.
‘I talk to Jussie all the time, and he’s doing well,” she said. “We’re all doing well. The show is doing well.”
When “The View” co-host Joy Behar asked if Smollett would be on the show next season, Henson responded:
“Yeah, I haven’t heard anything else.”

Many Americans will likely be outraged if Smollett returns to the show after pulling such a disgraceful stunt. Cook County prosecutors recently dropped 16 felony charges against him, even though there is a pile of evidence suggesting he is guilty.
Many people believe Smollett enjoyed "Hollywood privilege" after Michelle Obama's former chief of staff intervened in the case and contacted Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx.
President Donald Trump recently announced that the FBI and DOJ would be investigating the handling of Smollett's case. Some even believe Foxx may have broken the law with her handling of the case. Foxx, however, has welcomed an outside investigation.
"FBI & DOJ to review the outrageous Jussie Smollett case in Chicago. It is an embarrassment to our Nation!" Trump tweeted.
Meanwhile, city of Chicago has sent a $130,000 bill to Smollett to pay for the expensive hoax investigation. Smollett has so far refused to pay up, so the city is going after the money in civil court.
Smollett should keep his attorneys on retainer. He's going to need them.
