If you Google “Unplanned,” several things will show up in the results, including showtimes and links to stories about the pro-life movie that has blown away expectations at the box office.
However, you will also see the film labeled “propaganda” by the search giant.
That’s right, Google has taken it upon itself to classify the movie, which is a true story about former Planned Parenthood director turned pro-life activist Abby Johnson, as propaganda.
Meanwhile, as the Washington Examiner’s Becket Adams points out, other films by far-left zealots like Michael Moore are not labeled in the same way.
People were literally stunned by the brazen attempt at censorship. It's like they don't even care anymore.
This isn’t the first act of censorship that the movie has had to overcome. Twitter also suspended the movie’s official account on opening weekend.
Testifying before Congress on Thursday, a spokesperson for Twitter claimed the account was suspended on accident, something that seems to happen repeatedly to conservatives.
"In the recent instance regarding the account @UnplannedMovie, the account was caught in our automated systems used to detect ban evasion,” the Twitter spokesperson said. “Ban evasion occurs when an individual registers for a new account despite having been suspended previously for breaking our rules."
He claimed the account was then restored "as soon as it was brought to our attention that the new account was not intended for similar violative activity."
It's just a coincidence, surely.
