There’s a new teenager in the White House!
Barron Trump, the young son of President Trump and First Lady Melania, turned 13 on Wednesday. His mom announced the milestone birthday with a tweet to the nation.
Melania used her son’s initials for his full name, Barron William Trump.
Wednesday is also the first day of spring and the first day of spring break for Barron at his private school in Maryland, according to Fox 11. The two will stick to their tradition of enjoying the school break at their Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach, Florida.
The president will join them later this week when he gathers the leaders of several Caribbean nations at the resort home, The Hill reported.
In a statement, the White House said the president wants to reaffirm his administration’s “strong friendship with and commitment to these countries, and signal the importance of the Caribbean to the hemisphere. The President will discuss his vision for our diverse relationships in the Caribbean and the potential opportunities for energy investment.”
Barron has been largely out of the spotlight lately, but he did recently accompany his parents on a trip to Alabama to survey the damage left from a series of destructive tornadoes, according to Yahoo! Lifestyle.
Many people on Twitter wished Barron happy birthday on his special day and shared adorable photos of him growing up.
Barron is the first boy in the White House since JFK’s son John F. Kennedy Jr.
