Psst. You may not have heard this from the mainstream media, but President Trump’s approval rating among Hispanic voters has just surged amidst the government shutdown and border wall battle.

According to an NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist survey, 50% of Latino voters think Trump is doing a good job as president in January. 46% disapprove of his job performance, and 4% are unsure.

CNS News notes that that is a huge jump from last months’ 31% approval. Back in December, more than twice as many Hispanic voters disapproved than approved for Trump.

And this is all going on amidst Trump’s desire to complete a wall on the border to keep illegal aliens out. The belief that the president is a “racist” because he pointed out that there are some very dangerous criminals coming across the border from Mexico appears to not be as widespread as liberals would hope it’d be.

The rising approval numbers may also be a result of record low unemployment among Latinos in December. Workplace participation among Hispanics continues to rise.

Upon the news of the surging Hispanic voter approval of Trump, the mainstream media has been speechless. They have nothing to say. In fact, it’s very difficult to find any major news outlet talking about it or the record low unemployment.

Approval among white voters, meanwhile, has dropped 10% from last month to this month. It currently stands at 40%. Approval among black voters has dropped from 19% to 11%.
