West Hollywood City Council voted unanimously on Monday night for a resolution calling for the removal of President Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
"West Hollywood City council unanimously passes resolution asking the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to remove the Donald Trump star on Hollywood Walk of Fame," West Hollywood Mayor John Duran tweeted.
While the resolution is mostly symbolic, it would not come as a surprise if the Los Angeles City Council and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce decide to erase Trump from the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Trump’s star was recently smashed to pieces by an unhinged leftist protester. It cost the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce roughly $30,000 to repair and replace it. It didn’t cost Trump a dime.
While Hollywood liberals protest Trump’s star, they don’t seem too concerned that celebrities accused of serious crimes have stars.
Ironically, right next to Trump’s star is the one belonging to actor Kevin Spacey, who is accused of an array of sex crimes.
Spacey has been accused of sexual misconduct by at least 15 people. His list of victims include several who were teens at the time of the alleged assaults.
Bill Cosby’s star has also generated little to no controversy in Hollywood.
“When critics called for the removal of Bill Cosby’s star from the Walk of Fame amid multiple sexual assault claims, the Hollywood chamber said it does not remove stars over public backlash and cited historical landmark status,” the Hollywood Reporter noted.
Good to know.
