Two robbery suspects got more they could handle after they held a woman at gunpoint in her driveway, stole her purse, and forced their way into her Houston home. What the thugs didn’t realize was her husband was home — and armed.
The husband knew his wife was in serious danger. As the men attempted to enter the house, he trained his firearm on the intruders and opened fire.
Here's the doorway where the robbers tried to enter:
The husband exchanged gunfire with the suspects. He took one of the robbers down with a deadly accurate headshot. The other man ran for his life.

The burglar who was shot in the head was transported to the hospital where he was reportedly in critical condition.
Police are still looking for the second suspect who is lucky to be alive after encountering the heroic husband.
The Houston police are investigating the incident, but it certainly appears to be an open-and-shut case of self-defense.
Though you likely won't see this story reported by mainstream media outlets, guns are used by law-abiding citizens to save lives all the time.
In May, two armed bystanders took down an active shooter at an Oklahoma City restaurant. The suspect had already shot three people inside Louie's Grill & Bar when the armed citizens shot and killed him.
"They were able to shoot this suspect and put an end to this very dangerous situation," Oklahoma City Police Capt. Bo Mathews said.
The police captain added, "These guys were protecting somebody else's life. You can say they are heroes."
