Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), who along with her friends Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), is one of the more outspoken progressives in Congress and has just called herself President Trump’s “biggest nemesis.”
It didn’t go well for her.
“This is a president who has come to power vilifying and demonizing immigrants and refugees,” Omar claimed on Monday. “He proudly said we should halt Muslims from entering our country. It’s not a surprise that he finds his biggest nemesis in me.”
In the Huffington Post article she was linking to, she also said, “Clearly, I am a nightmare ― because [Trump] can’t stop really thinking about ways that he can continue to use my identity to marginalize our communities.”
For allegedly being Trump’s biggest enemy, though, the president rarely mentions her.
Omar was roundly mocked on Twitter for her boastful claim.
In other news, Omar recently referred to Hamas terrorists as “protesters” who were being mercilessly gunned down by Israel.
Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, pointed out a few things to Omar on Twitter.
