During an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Monday, Kim Kardashian West was given a chance to bash President Donald Trump, an activity that has become the norm on late night talk shows.
Kardashian West linked up with Trump when she was fighting to get the president to commute the life sentence of Alice Marie Johnson. To Kardashian’s surprise, Trump moved quickly to secure Johnson’s release after reviewing the nature of her non-violent drug offense.

“I knew there was only one person in power that can make this change and get this woman out of prison that was serving a life sentence and so I went for it,” Kardashian West said.
Kimmel then remarked that it was “especially weird” that Trump was president.
“Right?” Kimmel asked, trying to get his guest to agree with him.
“You know, I'm very grateful and I'm very hopeful that more good things are gonna come out of our conversations,” she responded.
Later in the segment, Kimmel went back to politics and asked Kardashian West if she and her husband, rapper Kanye West, ever debate policy due to the rapper’s public support of Trump.
“No,” she answered. “I always respect what other [people] think.”
Kardashian West then squashed any hopes Kimmel may have had about getting an anti-Trump soundbite from his guest.
“I have nothing bad to say about the president,” she said. “He has done something amazing.”
