Former Secretary of State John Kerry said on Tuesday that he would tell President Donald Trump to “resign” if they ever met in person.
Asked by CNBC what he would say to the president, Kerry initially dodged the question.
"I can't play that ... because he doesn't take any of this seriously. He doesn't have an ability to have that kind of conversation," he said.
When pressed for a clear answer on what his message would be, Kerry reportedly responded, “Resign.”
Enter Donald Trump Jr., the president’s son.
Coming to his father’s defense, Trump Jr. dropped the mic on the former Obama official.
“I imagine that anyone that appears to be working for the Iranians would feel the same way,” Trump Jr. tweeted.
During the same interview, Kerry also claimed "people will die” as a result of President Trump withdrawing from the Paris climate accord.
"I wish there was a lawsuit capacity that could hold people liable for such an insane decision as he has made, which is going to cost lives," Kerry whined.
He added: ”People will die because of the President's decision, and billions of dollars of damage will be done to property.”
There’s a reason Trump is president and Kerry is a failed Democratic candidate.
