“The View” co-host Joy Behar is known for her strong anti-Trump opinions, and during a recent appearance on MSNBC’s show “The Beat,” she doubled down on her hate of not only President Donald Trump but Republicans as well.

In the interview, Behar stated that she used to be friends with Trump years ago when he was a New York real estate mogul, Behar even attended Trump's second wedding to Marla Maples in 1993. But ever since he ran for president she believes he is a “psycho” and an “anarchist.”

“Who knew he was such a psycho? I liked the guy in a way," Behar said. "It’s like, ‘Oh he is a New York character.' And now you know..."

"Obviously, I never thought that he would be this bad, never. Even before he won, I said, 'Well, if he wins, God forbid, he can’t be really such a maniac.’”

Behar also claimed that Trump failed to win the state of New York in the 2016 election because New Yorkers knew he was a “beast.”

"We know the beast, we knew him," Behar said. "He's a con man. The New Yorkers are hip to this and the rest of the country, they didn't really know him the way we do."

Behar then said that she believed that Trump would settle down once he was in office, but now she thinks he is worse than expected.

“I think he’s worse. I thought he was also a secret Democrat, which he shows us he’s not,” said Behar. “He is not a Republican or a Democrat. He’s just an anarchist as far as I’m concerned.”

“He’s like an improv comic. He makes it up as he goes along. ‘Oh today, I think I’ll change this rule, and I think I’ll change that law,’ and everybody says, OK.”

Behar’s criticism wasn’t just directed at President Trump, but other Republicans as well. “The Republicans are vicious. Mitch McConnell, I don’t want to talk about him.”

On a recent edition of “The View,” co-hosts Joy Behar, Abby Huntsman, and Meghan McCain all took a slight deviation from the usual pro-Democrat tone and tore into Hillary Clinton for her defense of sexual misconduct allegations against her husband, former President Bill Clinton.

In an interview with CBS on Sunday, Hillary was asked if she thinks that Bill should have resigned following his scandal with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

“Absolutely not,” replied Hillary, stating that Lewinsky was an adult at the time. She then dodged the following question on whether it was an abuse of power by asking why no one was investigating allegations against current President Donald Trump.

The live audience on “The View” applauded Hillary’s answer, but co-host Joy Behar did not appreciate her answer. “What she just did is exactly what Republicans do, they changed the subject,” said Behar. “And that’s why we never get anywhere in the discourse.”

“You know you have a bad argument when your immediate response is ‘well, they were worse,'” co-host Abby Huntsman said.

“This highlights to me I think why some people struggled to vote for her, because you can’t have it both ways in her position,” Huntsman continued. “You can’t put yourself on a pedestal and be a leader for the feminist movement, and at the same time refuse to acknowledge the reality that you’ve lived with for all these years and stand by your husband. I don’t think she can have it both ways and she continues to try and do this.”

Behar then called Hillary “a victim of [Bill’s] stupidity,” and when the #MeToo movement was brought up, Behar said that Bill is “guilty.”

Co-host Meghan McCain then said that the Democrats should distance themselves as much as possible from the Clintons, especially now that the midterm elections are so close.

The fourth member of the panel, Sunny Hostin, was the only one to defend Hillary’s response, saying that Lewinsky indeed was an adult at the time of her consensual relationship with the former president.
