Leading Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) was playing the socialism card again on Tuesday by suggesting that there’s something wrong about having to work hard to get what you want.
“No person should have to work more than one full-time job to put food on the table or pay the bills. Period,” she wrote on Twitter, even though most people throughout human history have had to work more than 40 hours a week just to survive.
And while her message likely resonated well with people who favor government handouts, it was quickly trounced by hard-working Americans willing to put in the extra hours and effort to achieve their dreams. They also emphasized the vital life lessons learned from overcoming challenges along the way.
