It’s fascinating that so much of what is happening today keeps going back to the Clintons. And it doesn't put them in a positive light.

From President Clinton’s former special counsel getting charged as a result of the Robert Meuller investigation to House Judiciary Committee chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) arguing that the Mueller Report should be released unredacted even though he argued that the Starr Report shouldn’t be released at all to Ken Starr admitting that he omitted an FBI finding that suggested Hillary Clinton “triggered” former President Clinton White House counsel Vince Foster into committing suicide, the Clintons are back in the news like it’s the 1990s all over again.

Now Ken Starr, the Independent Counsel put in charge of investigating numerous allegations against then-President Clinton, is speaking out in support of U.S. Attorney General William Barr and his recent revelation that he believes the Obama-era Justice Department and James Comey’s FBI spied on Trump during his campaign.

Barr was diplomatic when saying that to a Senate Appropriations subcommittee this week, but he made it clear that he would be launching an investigation to determine if the Obama administration was justified in secretly gathering information on Trump while he was running for president against Hillary.

During an interview on the Laura Ingraham Show, Starr was adamant that Barr isn’t careless with his words.

“Here is my take: Bill Barr knows something, Laura,” Starr said. “He knows something. He says, I have a concern and I believe I have a basis for that concern. Anyone who knows Bill Barr knows he doesn’t just say things. He thinks about them. He’s careful with what he says.”

“I think if Bill Barr says I think there is a basis for my concern, he doesn’t say what it is, that is a ‘stay tuned America,’” Starr added.

He also said, “Here’s another key takeaway from what Bill Barr said...he did not say anything to suggest that the FBI, as an institution, was somehow implicated or corrupted. He did say there appears to be...a problem with the former leadership.”

“We have an attorney general who I think is going to, frankly, clean house.”
