One of the worst fires in that region’s history has devastated the hilly seaside community of Malibu, outside of Los Angeles, destroying over a hundred homes.
Everyone who lives in that area, including many celebrities, have been evacuated. Some, like pop star Miley Cyrus and singer-songwriter Neil Young, have lost their houses. So did Hollywood actors Gerard Butler, famous for starring roles in “300,” “The Bounty Hunter,” and “Machine Gun Preacher.”
“Returned to my house in Malibu after evacuating. Heartbreaking time across California. Inspired as ever by the courage, spirit and sacrifice of firefighters. Thank you @LAFD. If you can, support these brave men and women at http://SupportLAFD.org,” he wrote on Twitter.
But he’s getting no sympathy from anti-Semites on the left. Why? Because of his support of Israel.
According to Variety, Butler helped raise a record $60 million for the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces at a November gala created to help support IDF soldiers and their families.
Now some pro-Palestinian liberals have decided to use the loss of his home days after the gala to throw political barbs at him.
And that’s just a small sample.
Meanwhile on Monday, there were reports of between 300 and 460 rockets fired from Gaza into Israel, according to the Jerusalem Post. While some rockets were intercepted, others hit targets like a passenger bus.
