Yet again, Barbra Streisand is claiming that she will leave the United States if the midterm elections don’t have a favorable result for Democrats.

In an interview with The New York Times, Streisand said that she is thinking of moving to Canada if the Democrats don’t win a majority in the House of Representatives.

"I want to sleep nights, if we take the House I’ll be able to sleep a little bit better," Streisand said. "I’ve been thinking about, do I want to move to Canada? I don’t know. I’m just so saddened by this thing happening to our country."

"It’s making me fat," she continued. "I hear what he said now, and I have to go eat pancakes now, and pancakes are very fattening. We make them with healthy flour, though – almond flour, coconut flour."

Prior to the 2016 election, Streisand also said that she would leave the country if Trump won, but didn’t follow through.

"He has no facts. I don't know, I can't believe it. I'm either coming to [Australia] or Canada," she said.

Streisand released a new album this year, her first since 2005, which contains a track that voices her distaste for what the Trump administration is doing to America and the world.

The song “Don’t Lie to Me” has lyrics that go: “How do you sleep when the world keeps turning?/All that we built has come undone/How do you sleep when the world is burning?/Everyone answers to someone."

“I just went ballistic,” she said. "I just can't stand what's going on. His assault on our democracy, our institutions, our founders — I think we're in a fight. ... We're in a war for the soul of America."

Also this week, actor James Cromwell was honored at the fourth annual Carney Awards for his performances as a character actor in movies such as “The Green Mile” and “The Sum of All Fears.”

The veteran actor, however, has been a political activist for his entire career and had some choice words for the current political climate and President Donald Trump.

“This is nascent fascism. We always had a turnkey, totalitarian state – all we needed was an excuse, and all the institutions were in place to turn this into pure fascism,” said Cromwell. “If we don’t stop [President Trump] now, then we will have a revolution for real. Then there will be blood in the streets.”

“We’re living in very curious times, and something is coming up which is desperately important to this country and to this planet, and that is an election, in which hopefully in some measure we are going to take back our democracy,” Cromwell continued.

“We will have a government that represents us and not the donor class. We will cut through the corruption, [and] we won’t have to do what comes next, which is either a non-violent revolution or a violent one, because this has got to end.”
