Rep. Maxine Waters (R-Calif.) has been an elected official for nearly 30 years. That’s a long time to make progress for your district.

However, the Democrat’s district in Los Angeles appears to be in horrific condition.

The video shows a district that is seemingly falling apart. It should come as no surprise that Waters does not live among those suffering in her district.

“Maxine Waters district 43 is the worst in Los Angeles. She has been an elected official for 28 years & her district looks like a cesspool. Maxine doesn't live in district 43,” one Twitter user wrote in a viral tweet. “She lives in a million+ $$ mansion outside her district. Reprehensible!’

University of Toronto professor and political commentator Jordan Peterson responded sarcastically, “This is clearly Trump's fault.”

Waters is running for re-election in November. She is expected to win.

Waters recently came under fire from Republicans and members of her own party after she called on supporters to publicly confront and harass members of the Trump administration anywhere they go.

"If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out, and you create a crowd, and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” Waters said during a rally.
