Ever since Melania Trump sought privacy following her surgery for a benign kidney condition, spectators in the media have been speculating about the first lady’s whereabouts.
The media scrutiny spawned several conspiracies about her “disappearance.” Some of the theories involved medical issues, while other were incendiary and intended to disparage her marriage to President Donald Trump.
CNN aired this dramatic graphic wondering why the first lady had "disappeared."
Melania Trump put all the conspiracy theories to bed on Monday night when she made an appearance for a reception for Gold Star families at the White House — and she looked stunning.
Can you spot her?
She was also captured on video:
The first lady was photographed wearing a black dress and 6-inch high heels to the event for the families of fallen military heroes.
Melania Trump reportedly spoke to the Gold Star families in the room, according to the Daily Mail.
“It was a privilege to welcome Gold Star Families to the White House today to recognize our Nation’s fallen heroes and their families. To all those who have lost loved ones in service to our country, our nation grieves with you,” she reportedly said.
President Trump also addressed his wife’s surgery while speaking to attendees, saying she “had a little problem” a few weeks ago, but refused to miss the event for Gold Star families, according to Daily Caller’s Jena Greene.
The media can stop speculating now. Melania Trump is doing very well.
