Amid a frenzy of unfounded media speculation about the Mueller investigation, First Lady Melania Trump took a special trip on Wednesday to meet with service members and their families on the USS George H.W. Bush.
She wore a patriotic hat with pride while on her way to meet with the military heroes.
She was clearly very excited to thank the men and women in uniform for their service.
“We are off to visit some of our brave men & women in uniform today & thank them for their service,” Melania tweeted. “I’ll be visiting Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Joint Base Langley-Eustis & the #USSGeorgeHWBush aircraft carrier today. Looking forward to meeting everyone!”
“Wonderful to be in Hangar 789 with many service members & their families at @JBLEnews! Our prayers remain with all those serving overseas this Christmas,” the first lady tweeted. “God Bless you all! #USA."
This is how all first ladies should show their respect to America’s military heroes.
You will not be surprised to know that Melania Trump's special trip was hardly covered at all by the media. More airtime was given to pundits floating conspiracy theories about President Donald Trump going to jail without legitimate evidence.
Trump made his feelings known, simply tweeting, "WITCH HUNT!"
"I never directed Michael Cohen to break the law. He was a lawyer and he is supposed to know the law. It is called 'advice of counsel,' and a lawyer has great liability if a mistake is made," Trump said earlier. "That is why they get paid. Despite that many campaign finance lawyers have strongly...stated that I did nothing wrong with respect to campaign finance laws, if they even apply, because this was not campaign finance."
