The biggest crisis facing our country on Monday, according to the mainstream media, was the separation of children from their parents after they had illegally crossed the border into the U.S. Coverage of the crisis was wall-to-wall as outraged reporters barraged White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen with accusations that President Trump cares little for the plight of children.
But some mothers, including legal immigrants, are speaking out about what they see as a far more pressing crisis — their children being killed by illegal aliens. In an exclusive interview with the Daily Caller, Mary Ann Mendoza rebuked the mainstream media’s sudden hysteria.
“There is hypocrisy in many ways. The total disregard for American families ripped apart because of illegal criminals, the total lack of concern for children in the U.S. being raped in North Carolina by illegals at disgusting numbers (some months over 400 child rapes by illegals), no concern [for] homeless American children or Veterans who would do anything to have what’s provided [to] these children,” Mendoza said.
“Yet, our politicians call it inhumane treatment. Would they rather these kids coming across our borders stay with the adults who aren’t their biological parents but have kidnapped them to get across the border as a ‘family unit?'” she continued. “It’s all about sensational headlines. They have no real concern for these kids. It’s just another way to make this administration look bad.”
Mendoza herself was separated permanently from her police sergeant son when he was killed in a head-on collision with a wrong-way driver. The driver was drunk, high on meth, and living in the country illegally.
Sabine Durden also told pointed out the hypocrisy of the mainstream media’s obsessive coverage with this one border issue, and said they have “ignored many of us victims of illegal alien crime for so long.”
“If it weren’t for President Trump, no one would even know much about us,” she said. “He gave my son a voice that was taken by an illegal. And I’m forever thankful to him for that and for bringing the issue of illegal alien invasion to the forefront.”
Durden’s son was killed by an illegal alien driver who had been drinking but wasn’t over the legal limit. She and Mendoza both shared their stories at the 2016 Republican National Convention.
Facing a room of angry reporters Monday afternoon, Nielsen hit them with a salvo of facts, smashing large holes in the mainstream media’s narrative of the day. She pointed out the massive number of unaccompanied minors sent to the border, the 1,700 percent increase in asylum seekers, and the need for asylum seekers to follow the law by showing up at a port of entry rather than sneaking across the border.
The Homeland Security secretary also pointed out the increase in cases of human traffickers, MS-13 gang members, and other evil individuals using stolen kids to help them pose as families seeking asylum. She emphasized the need for scrutiny and the separation of adults and children when red flags are raised about their identity.
