Newly elected Muslim Congresswoman Ihan Omar was asked directly by CNN about her past anti-Semitic tweet about Israel — and her response is unbelievable.

“Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel. #Gaza #Palestine #Israel," Omar tweeted in 2012.

When asked by CNN what she meant, Omar said she had no idea why Jews found her comment “offensive.”

“Oh, that’s really a regrettable way of expressing that,” Omar said of the CNN anchor’s question.

She added: “I don't know how my comments would be offensive to Jewish-Americans.”

The CNN anchors didn’t push back at all after that.

Omar went on to claim, without evidence, that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is somehow compromised by the Trump administration. Many believe she is alluding to an unfounded rumor that Graham is secretly gay.

Omar said her claim is “based on what I believe to be visible to me.”

“I’m pretty sure there are lots of Americans who agree on that,” she added.

There is no chance that a Republican would ever get away with such incendiary and irresponsible rhetoric.
