In a new video from PETA, actress Natalie Portman spoke out against animal cruelty and the killing of animals. However, the PETA PSA went off the rails when the Oscar-winning actress compared eating meat to the atrocities of the Holocaust.
Portman highlights Nobel Prize winner Isaac Bashevis Singer’s life and animal rights activism. Singer fled Eastern Europe during WWII to escape the horrors of the Holocaust.
“We do to God’s creatures what the Nazis did to us,” said Portman, quoting Singer.

This isn’t the first time that PETA has compared eating meat to the Holocaust. In 2009, PETA got in trouble with the German court for making the comparison in an ad that featured concentration camp inmates alongside turkeys and chickens.
PETA also made a social media snafu last year when it asked Twitter to present their best argument for eating bacon.
This predictably backfired immediately.
It should be noted that Ben Shapiro is an Orthodox Jew and doesn’t even eat bacon in the first place, but still found a good reason we should eat bacon.
“What else are you supposed to do with a pig?” responded Matt Walsh.
More Twitter users piled on PETA’s request with their reasons why bacon is good.
Does your best argument for eating bacon top any of these?
