WATCH: Obama’s Border Chief Asked If U.S. Needs a Wall, Media STUNNED by Answer

Former President Barack Obama’s Border Patrol chief, Mark Morgan, was asked on live TV on Monday night whether America needs a border wall — and liberals aren’t going to like his answer.

Morgan was previously dismissed by President Donald Trump’s administration. However, the former Obama official said the facts are the facts — and Trump is “right.”

"If you look in the past, you don’t have to go too far back in history, that bipartisan legislation that was passed: the Secure Fence Act," Morgan said. "In 2006 and 2012, bipartisan legislation passed where they built the wall, or fence, or physical barrier, or whatever you want to call it. It’s a wall. It works.”

He continued: “The president is right. The other day when they had the national press conference, and they got up and they said the wall works, they’re right. And it’s not based on a personal political ideology. That’s based on historical data and facts that can be proven.”

Morgan also confirmed that the border crisis is “absolutely” a national security issue.

"I believe in what the president is doing. When he says that this is a national security problem, he’s absolutely correct,” he explained.

“And that doesn’t come just from me — that comes from professionals who have been doing this their entire adult lives, serving the country on the border, protecting the citizens,” the ex-Obama official concluded. “They’re saying it works.”

So why are Democrats, including his former boss, so strongly against the border wall?

Because President Trump is advocating for it, Morgan said.
