Ex-Obama WH Counsel Expects to Be INDICTED in Mueller-Linked Case

Another indictment appears to be imminent in an investigation linked to Robert Mueller — but it has nothing to do with President Donald Trump or his campaign.

Lawyers for Gregory B. Craig, former President Barack Obama’s ex-White House counsel, said the former Obama official expects to be indicted in a matter of days on charges linked to his work with the Russia-aligned government of Ukraine.

So much for Trump colluding with Russia. Democrats definitely aren’t going to like this plot twist.

“The case against Mr. Craig is related to the Foreign Agents Registration Act, or FARA, which the Justice Department is prioritizing in part because of scrutiny related to Mr. Mueller’s investigation,” the New York Times reported.

The report added: “The law requires Americans to disclose detailed information about lobbying and public relations work for foreign governments and politicians, and it has been the basis for charges brought against several people investigated by the special counsel.”

However, rather than being charged under FARA, Craig’s lawyers think he will be charged with lying to DOJ officials.

Meanwhile, the Russia collusion conspiracy against President Donald Trump has been shattered. Not only has Mueller revealed he found no evidence that Trump or his campaign colluded with Russia.

Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) asked Barr on Wednesday if he believed “spying” actually occurred. She did not expect the answer she got.

“You’re not suggesting, though, that spying occurred?” she asked.

“I think spying did occur. Yes, I think spying did occur. But the question is whether it was predicated, adequately predicated,” Barr responded.

He added: “I’m not suggesting it wasn’t adequately predicted, but I need to explore that.”

Trump will probably use this for a 2020 ad.
