House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) sent a clear message to socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) on Thursday, mocking her so-called “Green New Deal” and excluding her from a new climate change committee.
Pelosi announced her picks for the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis — and AOC didn’t make the cut. The list, according to the Tampa Bay Times includes:
"Reps. Ben Ray Luján of New Mexico, Suzanne Bonamici of Oregon, Julia Brownley of California, Sean Casten of Illinois, Jared Huffman of California, Mike Levin of California, Donald McEachin of Virginia and Joe Neguse of Colorado.”
"We have a moral responsibility to protect God’s creation for generations to come," Pelosi tweeted on Thursday. "That is why today, we named members to the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis."
Pelosi also snubbed Ocasio-Cortez when she was asked about the socialist’s “Green New Deal,” which calls for eliminating plane travel, regulating cow farts, and providing assistance to people “unwilling to work.”
During an interview with Politico, Pelosi openly mocked the proposal.
“The green dream or whatever they call it, nobody knows what it is, but they’re for it right?” the Speaker said.
Ocasio-Cortez bent over backwards trying to spin Pelosi's remarks as positive, telling reporters that she wasn't offended by her dismissively calling it the "green dream."

Looks like there’s trouble in paradise for the Democratic Party. Apparently that’s what happens when your party gets hijacked by far-left extremists.
