A photo showing Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) smiling and eating donuts with Russian President Vladimir Putin surfaced on Wednesday amid Democrats’ continued “collusion” allegations against President Donald Trump.
Ironically, the photo emerged after Schumer went on a tirade on the Senate floor on Tuesday, claiming he would have been tougher than Trump if he met with Putin.
"I’m from Brooklyn. We learned one thing there, if we learned anything: when there’s a bully around, as Putin is, you show strength,” Schumer said.
He added, "But President Trump showed abject weakness. You know what that means? The bully will continue to take advantage of him. If President Trump was such an easy mark in Helsinki, President Putin will realize he’s an easy mark elsewhere."
Watch the video below:
He sure didn’t look very tough when he was actually face-to-face with Putin.
That certainly doesn't look like a show of strength.
"The meeting between President Putin and myself was a great success, except in the Fake News Media," Trump tweeted.
"Some people HATE the fact that I got along well with President Putin of Russia," Trump added on Wednesday. "They would rather go to war than see this. It’s called Trump Derangement Syndrome!"
