The ratings for FOX’s hit show “Empire” plummeted to an all-time low on Wednesday after prosecutors decided to drop all charges against the show’s disgraced star Jussie Smollett.

Even though Smollett has so far evaded justice for allegedly faking his “hate crime,” it looks like karma has hit back hard.

“Empire (3.97 mil/1.1) dipped to series lows in both measures, while Star (3.2 mil/0.9) hit an all-time demo low,” TVLine.com reported.

The dropped charges may have just been the last straw for viewers. The ratings have been in trouble all season.

“The ratings for the Fox drama have been in a free fall since Smollett allegedly planned a hoax attack against himself. Two weeks ago, the show’s fifth season debut episode dropped 35 percent in the ratings compared to last year,” Breitbart reported.

Smollett previously claimed that he was "attacked" by two white men who shouted racial and homophobic slurs. He also claimed they shouted, "This is MAGA country.”

Eventually, police discovered two Nigerian brothers confessed that Smollett paid them to fake the attack. The actor is still claiming he is innocent after the dismissal of the charges.

President Donald Trump has since announced that the FBI and DOJ would be looking to the Smollett case.

"FBI & DOJ to review the outrageous Jussie Smollett case in Chicago," he tweeted. "It is an embarrassment to our Nation!”

The "Empire" writers taunted America after Smollett's charges were dropped in a gross tweet.

All of them could end up being out of a job before too long.
