White House press secretary Sarah Sanders got into a contentious exchange with CNN anchor Chris Cuomo on Thursday over media bias and President Donald Trump’s treatment of the press.

Sanders argued that the Trump administration is “moving the ball down the field” in a way that has never been done before, citing the booming economy and Trump’s efforts to help veterans.

In response, Cuomo asked a question that is seemingly dripping with bias.

“Do you think that by saying, ‘We stink,’ that we don’t like veterans, that we are bad for America, the president says we are enemies of America, do you think that that works for you long-term?” Cuomo asked.

Sanders responded, “What I think is important to remember is that you guys get to ask the questions, but you can’t always complain about the answers.”

Sanders and Cuomo battled over the definition of unbiased reporting before the White House spokesperson decided to be brutally honest.

“Unfortunately, you guys quit reporting the news,” she shot back. “When I can read a news story and I have no idea what side of the story the reporter is on, that’s a good news story. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a lot of news that looks like that.”

Cuomo argued it’s hard for reporters to do that because she doesn’t answer their questions. Sanders didn’t buy it.

“I answer questions all day, every day. It’s what I spend every minute of the day doing. It’s why I’m sitting here at 9 o’clock at night answering questions to you,” she responded.
