White House press secretary Sarah Sanders had several contentious exchanges with reporters on Tuesday. At one point, she even had to ask a reporter to stop talking so she could answer a question.
However, one of the ugliest moments came after Sanders ended the press briefing.
As Sanders exited the room, Playboy White House reporter Brian Karem was caught on video shouting, “What color is the sky in the president's world?”
The question was an obvious jab at President Donald Trump, suggesting he is somehow operating in an alternate universe. This is the level of civility the press currently shows to the Trump administration.
Sanders took the high road and exited the room rather than dignifying the question with a response.
The reporter is apparently proud of himself as he later retweeted someone’s compliment about his question.
“I just want the questions answered,” he tweeted.
Sanders has been scolding the media this week over coverage of President Trump
“Frankly, I think my credibility is probably higher than the media’s. I think that if you spent a little bit more time reporting the news instead of trying to tear me down, you might actually see that we're working hard trying to provide you good information,” Sanders told reporters.
President Trump has also been jabbing the press for its coverage of his wife's so-called "disappearance" as she recovered from surgery.
"The Fake News Media has been so unfair, and vicious, to my wife and our great First Lady, Melania," he tweeted on Wednesday. "During her recovery from surgery they reported everything from near death, to facelift, to left the W.H. (and me) for N.Y. or Virginia, to abuse. All Fake, she is doing really well!"
