White House press secretary Sarah Sanders responded on Monday to CNN contributor April Ryan calling for her head to be “lopped off.”
“I have had reporters say a lot of things about me. They said I should be choked. I should deserve a lifetime of harassment, certainly never had anybody say I should be decapitated," Sanders said on Fox News.
She added: “A new low for liberal media. Once again proves why this journalist isn’t taken seriously.”

Ryan recently stunned viewers when she called Sanders a liar and then argued her needed to be “lopped off.” While she used the term to mean “fired,” many had a problem with the violent imagery.
“She out-and-out lied, and the people, the American people, can’t trust her,” Ryan said on CNN. “They can’t trust what’s said from the president’s mouthpiece-spokesperson from the people’s house. Therefore, she should be let go. She should be fired, end of story.”
She continued: “When there was a lack of credibility there, you have to start lopping the heads off. It’s fire me Thursday or fire me Good Friday. She needs to go.”

Sanders and Ryan have repeatedly clashed in the White House briefing room, though Ryan has never made any attempts to hide her extreme liberal bias.
Sanders actually said it best during her interview on "Fox & Friends" on Monday.
"Frankly, I feel sorry for them," Sanders said.
