According to reports, ABC is canceling “The Alec Baldwin Show” from its lineup only a few weeks after it first aired on October 14.
Its debut drew the lowest Sunday night ratings in all of network TV in the key 18-49 demographic, averaging 1.5 million viewers.
The remaining, unaired episodes will be burned off on late Saturday nights starting in mid-December.
A programming note from ABC released during the Election night news dump stated that ABC will air reruns of “Shark Tank” in place of “The Alec Baldwin Show.”
“Election night news dump from ABC: The Alec Baldwin Show has been pulled, effective immediately. Remaining episodes will air Saturdays at 10 starting in mid-December. The show had averaging a meager 1.5M viewers,” tweeted television news source TVMoJoe.
It’s been a rough couple of days for Alec Baldwin as he was recently arrested for punching a man over a parking spot in New York City.
According to multiple reports, Baldwin was arrested on Friday after getting into a physical altercation with another motorist over a parking space in New York City.
Lately, Baldwin has been known for impersonating President Donald Trump on NBC’s Saturday Night Live ever since Trump announced his run for office.
In other Hollywood related news, the creator of “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” Carl Reiner, said he wants to live to 2020 so he can vote President Donald Trump out of office. Reiner posted a video to Twitter saying that he served in World War II to “defeat fascism.”
“I’ve lived through the Great Depression. I served in World War II in our fight to defeat fascism. I’ve seen the invention of television and performed on television even before my family owned one,” said the 96-year-old actor.
Watch the video below to see what all he had to say:
Here’s what he said:
“I’m Carl Reiner. I’m 96 and a half years old, and I’ve seen a lot of things in my lifetime.”
“I’ve lived through the Great Depression, I served in World War II in our fight to defeat fascism, I’ve seen the invention of television and performed on television, even before my family owned one.”
“But what I’ve never seen is the American people being lied to every single day about everything. Lies about climate change, lies about protecting Medicare and social security, lies about Russia attacking our elections, lies about protecting people with pre-existing conditions.”
“In my 96 and a half years, I have seen a lot of things. But the one thing I cannot bear to see is America being destroyed by racism, fear-mongering, and lies.”
“Fortunately, there is something we can do about that. On November 6, we can vote for elected officials who will hold this president accountable.”
“And after we’ve done that, my personal goal will be to stick around until 2020 and vote to make sure we have a decent, moral, law-abiding citizen in Washington who will make us all proud again to live in America. On November 6, vote!”
As of this moment, Reiner’s video has nearly 2 million views.
