The set of “The View” got incredibly tense on Wednesday when Whoopi Goldberg endorsed socialist Bernie Sanders’s view that violent felons like the Boston Marathon bomber should be allowed to vote.

Co-host Meghan McCain came out swinging against the proposal, saying a terrorist who murders Americans has no business casting a vote in our elections.”

“For Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris to go on TV and say that the Boston terrorist deserves any rights in this country after killing three people and injuring 264 in 2013, I find that disgraceful. RNC, turn that into an ad.”

She continued: “It is not hard to say that people who commit acts of terror should not only be punished, but God forbid they have any rights that any of us have.”

McCain argued it’s not hard to draw a line between “terrorist” and other low-level criminals.

However, Goldberg argued that even terrorists should have their rights restored after serving their time.

“If they let this terrorist out… if he’s an American citizen,” Whoopi began before seeing McCain’s mouth wide open. “Why is your mouth open like that?”

“Whoopi, he killed people,” McCain shot back.

“Our Constitution says if you have done your time… that means they feel his time is up and he gets to become an American citizen again.”

During a CNN town hall earlier this week, Sanders made it clear that he would let terrorists vote in America's elections. He argued "even terrible people" deserve the right to vote.

The majority of America disagrees.
