President Donald Trump addressed the nation on Tuesday night, making a final pitch in favor of securing America’s borders and building a border wall.
However, one line in particular seemed to resonate more than all the others — a scathing response to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s claim that the border wall is “immoral.”
"Some have suggested a barrier is immoral,” Trump said from the Oval Office. “Then why do wealthy politicians build walls, fences, and gates around their homes?”
He continued: “They don't build walls because they hate the people on the outside, but because they love the people on the inside.”

Minutes after Trump's address, Democrats Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer issued a bizarre response in which they claimed that illegal immigrants flooding America's borders do not represent a national security threat.
"The fact is, the women and children at the border are not a threat. They are a humanitarian challenge," Pelosi said.
