President Donald Trump made a bold statement without saying a word during a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, placing a giant “Game of Thrones”-style poster directly in front of him.
The poster originated from a meme and reads: “Sanctions are coming.”
It was all the internet could talk about on Wednesday.
Trump left the poster on the table for the duration of the Cabinet meeting without explaining who the intended recipient of the message is. Could it have been North Korea? Trump did touch upon his historic summit with Kim Jong Un.
“If it weren't for their June 2018 summit, he said, 'You'd be at war right now, you'd be having a nice big fat war in Asia, and it wouldn't be pleasant,’” the Daily Mail reported.
The report added: “Trump meanwhile warned America's sworn enemies on Wednesday that 'sanctions are coming' if they misbehave during his first Cabinet meeting of 2019.”
Later in the meeting, Trump discussed the border wall and dug his heels in on the issue amid the government shutdown.
"When they say the wall is immoral, well then you've got to do something about the Vatican because the Vatican has the biggest wall of them all," Trump said.
He added: "The wall is immoral? Look at all of the countries that have walls. They work 100%. That's never going to change."
