Steve Doocy of “Fox & Friends” caught up with President Trump on Friday for a live interview outside the White House. Amidst answering a string of questions, the president had some very nice things to say about his supporters.
“I have the greatest supporters in the world,” Trump told the Fox News host. “By the way, they’re the smartest, they’re the hardest working.”
“They pay taxes. They’re incredible. They’re loyal,” he continued.
“I have the bikers. I have the construction workers. I have ‘em all,” he added. “By the way, I have the FBI.”
After Trump’s November 2016 election victory, thousands of members of Bikers For Trump promised to protect people attending Trump’s January 2017 inauguration from thugs who were threatening acts of violence in D.C., according to Fox News Insider. The patriotic bikers referred to themselves as a protective “wall of meat.”
As for the FBI, Trump told Doocy, “I bet if you took a poll in the FBI, I would win that poll by more than anybody’s ever won a poll — but the top people were horrible.
During a particularly humorous part of his live interview with Doocy, where Trump seemed to be especially enjoying himself, he commented, “You’ve gotta watch CNN, what a fraud it is.”
“They’re listening,” Doocy warned. “They’re right behind you.”
“That’s fine,” Trump replied, before turning back toward the CNN reporters with a smile. “You hear me?”
The president also gave an update on First Lady Melania Trump’s health, saying, “She’s in a great shape. She’s perfect. She’s doing fantastically well.”
During the interview, Trump praised White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and addressed the CBS News report claiming that she was leaving the White House for good.
