President Donald Trump’s administration has reunited 500 migrant children with their families after they were separated at the border.
“Administration official tells AP: About 500 children reunited with families after separation at border since May,” the Associated Press reported.
Trump has seemingly taken the border crisis into his own hands as Democrats continue to obstruct immigration reform.
On Thursday, Democrats rejected a bill to keep immigrant families together even if they are caught entering the U.S. illegally. In fact, zero Democrats voted in favor of the bill, and it died with a 193-231 vote.
In a scathing Twitter statement on Friday, President Trump called on voters to elect more Republicans to the House and Senate so comprehensive immigration reform can happen.
“Elect more Republicans in November and we will pass the finest, fairest and most comprehensive Immigration Bills anywhere in the world,” he wrote. “Right now we have the dumbest and the worst. Dems are doing nothing but Obstructing. Remember their motto, RESIST! Ours is PRODUCE!”
He added, “Republicans should stop wasting their time on Immigration until after we elect more Senators and Congressmen/women in November. Dems are just playing games, have no intention of doing anything to solves this decades old problem. We can pass great legislation after the Red Wave!”
Meanwhile, no thanks to Congress, at least 500 children have been reunited with their families so far under President Trump.
