One of the most memorable moments of President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address on Tuesday night came when he addressed creeping socialism in America — right in front of Democrats who are advocating for it.
"Here in the United States, we are alarmed by the new calls to adopt socialism in our country," Trump said. “America was founded on liberty and independence and not government coercion, domination, and control. We are born free and we will stay free."
"Tonight, we renew our resolve that America will never be a socialist country," Trump added.
When the camera cut Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), an outspoken socialist in the U.S. Senate, his reaction was priceless.

The internet couldn’t get enough of it.
Before his remarks on socialism, Trump addressed the unfolding situation in Venezuela, where the people are rising up against the horrors of socialism.
"We stand with the Venezuelan people and their noble quest for freedom and we condemn their brutality of the Maduro regime, whose socialist policies have turned that nation from being the wealthiest in South America into a state of abject poverty and despair," Trump said.
Of course, socialists will tell you that Venezuela never implemented "real" socialism. Those who study history know that socialism always ends in despair.
